Abstract:

This talk will be about joint work with Nets Katz on partial regularity results for the Navier-Stokes equations with hyper-dissipation. We prove an estimate for the Hausdorff dimension of the set of singular points at the first time of blow-up depending on the degree of dissipation. We could think about this as about an interpolation between the results of Caffarelli-Kohn-Nirenberg in the case of the Navier-Stokes equations, and the fact that one has a global strong solvability in the case when the dissipation degree is large.
