Abstract:

I will discuss the various forms of induction that appear in the representation theory of real groups, from the point of view of both the representations themselves and from the point of view of Harish-Chandra modules.

These constructions are fundamental to the subject, since induction is the basic method that one has to construct non-trivial representations.
