Let X be a projective real variety. The space of reduced q-dimensional cycles on X is a certain quotient of the space of q-dimensional cycles on the complexification of X which are invariant under conjugation. In recent joint work with Mircea Voineagu we show that the homotopy groups of this space vanish in degrees larger than dim(X)-q .
