Speaker: Myoungjean Bae
Speaker Info: Northwestern University
Brief Description:

Abstract:

Transonic shock is a phenomenon arising in inviscid compressible flow governed by the Euler equations. In this talk, I will describe how a transonic shock problem is formulated as a free boundary problem containing mixed type nonlinear PDEs, and also present recent results.
