We consider foliations by hyperbolic surfaces, and we study the dynamics of the geodesic and horocycle flows on their unit tangent bundles. Measures invariant under these flows are closely related with harmonic measures, and we exploit this relationship in trying to find transversely hyperbolic measures for the foliated geodesic flow, in an attempt to better understand the "global attractor" that has been discussed in the lectures by Gómez-Mont and Bonatti.Date: Friday, March 11, 2011
