Abstract:

I will describe concentration properties of some eigenmodes of the damped wave equation on manifolds of negative curvature. As an application of these properties, one can derive the existence of a ``logarithmic strip'' without eigenvalue below the real axis under a pressure condition on the set of undamped trajectories.
