Title: Ooguri-Vafa Metric, Holomorphic Discs and SYZ Conjecture

In this talk, I will explain the philosophy of SYZ mirror symmetry. In particular, I will follow Chan's paper focusing on a toy model, Ooguri-Vafa space, which admits special Lagrangian fibration with one singular fibre. We will see explicitly how holomorphic discs correct the complex structure of the mirror. The example motivates the definition of new open Gromov-Witten invariants in the next talk. If time allowed, I will explain the correction of SYZ transform in this example.
