In semiclassical potential scattering, the scattering matrix is a unitary operator depending on an asymptotic parameter, h. For sufficiently nice (read: smooth, decaying) potentials, its spectrum is discrete and consists of eigenvalues (phase shifts). In this talk we discuss recent work on the asymptotic distribution as the parameter h goes to zero.

This is joint with Datchev, Hassell, Humphries, with Hassell, Zelditch, and with Hassell.
