This is a report on joint work (in progress) with Bjorn Dundas and Ayelet Lindenstrauss. Bokstedt calculated topological Hochschild homology of the integers and Lindenstrauss-Madsen covered the cases of number rings. We use these results to determine higher topological Hochschild homology for rings of integers in number fields with coefficients in the corresponding residue fields. Our approach is to use the decomposition of the $n$-sphere into two hemispheres and to show that one can reduce the calculation to one in homological algebra.Date: Thursday, February 26, 2015
