Abstract:
Springer fibers are subvarieties of the flag variety parameterized by partitions. Their cohomology carries a natural action of the symmetric group. In this talk, we’ll discuss other combinatorial properties of these varieties and give an inductive description of their Betti numbers.Date: Friday, January 29, 2016
