Partial Bergman kernels are projections to subspaces of holomorophic sections vanishing to high order on a subvariety. My talk is about their asymptotics in an ``allowed" and a ``forbidden'' region and the transition between them. The results are partly due to Julius Ross and Michael Singer and partly myself-Shiffman and work in progress with Peng Zhou
