Abstract:

The Fu-Yau equation was introduced by J. Fu and S.T. Yau as a generalization to arbitrary dimensions of an ansatz for the Strominger system. This PDE is a complex 2-Hessian equation with right-hand side depending on the gradient of the solution. We will discuss various estimates relating to the solvability of this equation. This is joint work with D.H. Phong and X. Zhang.
