Abstract:

This is intended to be an introductory talk regarding the subject. I will mainly talk about the modular surface $SL(2,\mathbb{Z})\backslash \mathbb{H}$, but most of the materials discussed in the talk can be easily generalized to other arithmetic surfaces (modulo some work). Main results that I'm going to cover are Quantitative Quantum Ergodicity, $L^\infty$ estimate, and polynomial lower bound for the number of nodal domains of Maass-Hecke cusp forms.
