Abstract:

Quantitative correlation decay (mixing) is often of significant interest in the study of dynamical systems. Unfortunately, general results are difficult to obtain in non-uniformly hyperbolic settings, though more can often be said in the presence of additional structure. I'll briefly define and provide some historical context on exponential mixing for Anosov flows, and then sketch a proof that certain locally accessible isometric extensions of Anosov flows are exponentially mixing; this includes, for example, some classes of frame flows and flows on principal bundles.
