Title: Multiplicative Number Theory from a dynamical perspective
Speaker: Florian Richter
Speaker Info: EPFL
Brief Description:
Special Note:
Abstract:

Multiplicative number theory is the study of prime numbers, factorizations, divisors, and other vital mathematical concepts related to the multiplicative structure of the integers. The focus of this lecture lies on the interplay between multiplicative number theory and ergodic theory, which has been a particularly hot topic in recent years, experiencing tremendous growth and advancements. We will provide an overview of the latest developments and explore some of the new methods and applications that have emerged.
