Title: Generic Mean Curvature Flow of Cylindrical Singularities

Singularity analysis is a central topic of geometric flow. The singularity structures of mean curvature flow are known to be very complicated, and it is conjectured that generic mean curvature flow has simpler singularity structures. I will first discuss the background and history of generic mean curvature flow, then I will focus on the cylindrical type singularities. We show that the most generic cylindrical singularities are robust, stable, and isolated, and we obtain the geometric information from dynamics. This is joint work with Jinxin Xue (Tsinghua University).
