Remarkable theorems about K(1)-localized algebraic K-theory were proved by Land—Mathew—Meier—Tamme and Bhatt—Clausen—Mathew. I will try to summarize these results, as well as the Beilinson fiber square of Antieau—Mathew—Morrow—Nikolaus and a theorem of Devalapurkar—Raksit. My recent understanding of the relations between these results is based on conversations with Hesselholt, Mathew, and Raksit, though of course any misunderstandings are my own.
