Abstract:

I will describe two ways to arrive at higher genus open Gromov-Witten invariants from a log Calabi-Yau surface X with smooth anti-canonical divisor D, via 1) tropical curve counting and Gross-Siebert mirror symmetry applied to (X,D) and 2) the degeneration formula for Gromov-Witten invariants applied to a projective bundle on X. This is part of joint work with Gräfnitz, Ruddat, and Zaslow to extend to higher genus their recent work showing the proper Landau-Ginzburg superpotential is the open mirror map of an Aganagic-Vafa brane.
