Abstract:

Strominger-Yau-Zaslow formulated the string-theory inspired duality of mirror symmetry in terms of a geometric construction known as T-duality, now referred to as SYZ mirror symmetry. Mirror symmetry is a phenomenon where the complex geometry of one manifold mirrors the symplectic geometry on another manifold. What if we vary the complex structure on one side and the symplectic structure on the other, globally across their respective moduli - are the corresponding cone decompositions for each of these moduli mirror too? In joint work with Haniya Azam, Heather Lee, and Chiu-Chu Melissa Liu we answer this in the affirmative for the genus 2 curve and its generalized SYZ mirror.
