The Hawking-Penrose conjecture of general relativity, in its Riemannian form, states that the ADM mass (gravity flux at infinity) bounds the area of each horizon in an asymptotically flat 3-manifold of nonnegative scalar curvature. We prove this using the -1/H flow.Date: Tuesday, March 04, 1997
