Mathematica

Mathematica's variety of uses includes analyzing data, solving complex differential equations, and developing an entire solution. Mathematica combines fast, high-precision numeric and symbolic computation with easy-to-use 2D and 3D data visualization and programming capabilities. It creates publication-quality documents with its customizable, cross-platform file format.

Mathematica at the Math Department. The Department of Mathematics has a network license good to run Mathematica on machines at the department. We have versions of Mathematica for Linux, Windows and Mac OS. Ask your system administrator if you want to install Mathematica on your office machine.

Mathematica at home (faculty and staff). I you want to install Mathematica at home, you can request a home-use license for your personally owned machine at:

You will be asked for your organization's site license number (a number of the form Ldddd-dddd) - ask your system administrator if you don't know it.
