WOMEN IN MATHEMATICS
ACTIVITIES
- The Northwestern University Department of Mathematics, Career
Mentoring Program, and Women In Mathematics (WIM)
announced a panel discussion on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at 4pm in Lunt
Hall. WIM hosted the panel discussion on jobs in fields related
to mathematics for undergraduates who where at that time or may be
interested in majoring in mathematics. Our intent was to provide
undergraduates with a spectrum of career paths that are available
after completing a degree in mathematics. The event was open to all
members of the Northwestern community. If you would like more details,

- A panel discussion on math jobs for undergraduates was held on October 11,2012. The goal was to provide undergraduates with a spectrum of career paths that would be available after completing a degree in mathematics. The event was organized by faculty as well as student members of WIM, and it was followed by a reception for all attendants.
- A panel discussion on math jobs for undergraduates
sponsored by WIM was held on October 6, 2011. Panelists
included NU
graduates educator Beth Barancik and actuary Emily Stoner, as
well as NU
Professor of Statistics Beth Andrews and NU Professor of Linguistics Janet
Pierrehumbert. It was followed by
dinner for female undergraduates and members of WIM.
