About me
I am a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Northwestern University. Before, I was a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Princeton University (2022-2025), a D.J. Lewis Postdoctoral Assistant Professor at the University of Michigan (2019-2022), and a postdoctoral fellow at IAS and MSRI (2018-2019). I completed my PhD at Imperial College London (2014-2018) with Paolo Cascini.
My research is partially supported by NSF research grant DMS-2401360 and previously by DMS-2101897.

Organisation and notes
I am organising the Algebraic Geometry seminar at Northwestern University together with Yuchen Liu. The typed notes from my classes, seminars, and research events can be found on my Obsidian websites:
Research focus
My research lies at the intersection of algebraic geometry, commutative algebra, and arithmetic geometry. My primary interests include:
- Algebraic geometry in positive and mixed characteristics
- Birational geometry and the Minimal Model Program
- Singularities in birational geometry, commutative algebra, and Hodge theory
For a deeper dive into my work, see my plenary talk from the 2025 SRI in Algebraic Geometry:
