Northwestern Emerging Scholars Program

Are you interested in math but not sure if you want to major in it?

Would you like to explore cool concepts from upper-level mathematics in a relaxed, collaborative environment?

Are you interested in how mathematics is used in today's world?

Then the Northwestern Emerging Scholars Program (NESP) may be a good fit for you!

The program will meet on Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm during Winter Quarter. You will work with your peers to explore new mathematical ideas and their real-world applications.

NESP is a great opportunity to get to know your classmates and find out if a math major is right for you, without homework or grades. Snacks will be served. NESP is an inclusive community and welcomes applications from all interested Northwestern undergraduates. The online application will open on Monday, January 7, 2019, at 8:00 AM and will close on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, at 5:00 PM.
