Abstract:

We describe a discrete version of the stochastic Loewner evolution (SLE). While SLE is driven by a Brownian motion, our discrete version (DLE) is driven by a random walk. It is obtained from the composition of elementary slit-mappings of the upper half plane. We show that DLE converges weakly to SLE. We then study basic properties of DLE and how they relate to known properties of SLE.
