The regulator map in number theory is based on taking the logarithm of the absolute value of an algebraic integer, and the higher regulator maps are generalizations that can be used to detect elements of K-theory and motivic cohomology. We give a short introduction to such regulator maps and then give explicit formulas for them on motivic cohomology, represented by a certain chain complex. Compatibility problems are also discussed.
