Title: The boundary Riemann solver coming from the real vanishing viscosity
Speaker: Professor Laura Spinola
Speaker Info: Northwestern University
Brief Description:
Special Note:
Abstract:

The talk will be based on two joint works with Stefano Bianchini.

It will be given a characterization of the boundary Riemann solver which is induced in the hyperbolic limit by a parabolic approximation with physical viscosity. In particular, the attention will be focused on the case of a singular viscosity matrix. A new condition of block linear degeneracy will be discussed.

In the last part of the talk two related problems will be presented: the study of the dependence of the boundary Riemann solver from perturbations in the boundary and the search of a generalization of the condition of block linear degeneracy.
