Title: Locality of Energy Transfer and Its Consequences
Speaker: Professor Roman Shvydkoy
Speaker Info: University of Illinois at Chicago
Brief Description:
Special Note:
Abstract:
For weak solutions of the incompressible Euler equations the energy transfer from lower to higher scales occurs essentially due to local interactions. In this talk we will discuss a mathematical justification of this principle and its consequences to energy conservation and regularity.Date: Sunday, November 18, 2007
