Abstract:
An orthogonal complex structure in R^4 is a complex structure which is integrable, and is compatible with the Euclidean metric. This gives rise to a first order PDE system in domains in R^4 which is conformally invariant. I will explain two Liouville-type uniqueness theorems, and discuss the classification of special solutions. This is joint work with Simon Salamon.Date: Sunday, November 18, 2007
