The algebraic meat of the Barannikov-Kontsevich passage from a Calabi-Yau manifold to a Frobenius manifold is a construction whose input is a differential graded BV algebra satisfying special conditions and whose output is a graded hypercommutative structure on the homology of that algebra. This construction will be elucidated and extended using operadic technology.
