Abstract:
We study universal deformation rings of Galois representations attached to automorphic forms. The goal is to show that such universal deformation rings are usually power series rings. We will discuss the general approach which we apply to the cases of GL(2) and GSp(4). (The latter case is work in progress with Michael Broshi and Claus Sorensen.)Date: Monday, October 25, 2010
