Abstract:

We give an explicit description (mod p) of the algebra of power operations associated to the elliptic cohomology theory associated to universal deformations of a supersingular ellliptic curve. This calculation is a special case of, and is the key step in the proof of, a vanishing result on the cohomology of certain cochain complexes associated to the moduli of flags of finite subgroups in elliptic curves.
