Abstract:
In 1983 Berend proved rigidity of higher-rank commutative actions by toral automorphisms under some hyperbolicity and irreduciblity assumptions. We will present two rigidity results that respectively extend Berend's theorem to certain non-hyperbolic and reducible cases.
