The algebraic structures on Hochschild complexes of associative algebras and, more generally, DG categories have been studied extensively in connection with deformation theory, topology, topological field theory, and other topics. I will quickly review the known results and then will outline the construction of some new operations that are related to the fact that DG categories probably form not just a two-category but a monoidal two-category up to homotopy. These new operations include the derived necklace bracket of Kontsevich and Vlassopulous and other operations that appeared in the literature.
