Let K be a global field of characteristic p and let E/K be a non-isotrivial elliptic curve. For a place v of K of good reduction for E, let E_v/k_v be the reduction of E modulo v. In joint work with \'Arp\'ad T\'oth and Jos\'e Felipe Voloch, we seek an asymptotic formula for the number of places v of K, of fixed degree, for which |E_v(k_v)| is squarefree.
