After suspension, the space of based loops in SL_n(C) is known to split as an infinite wedge sum. I will describe joint work with Allen Yuan that upgrades this result to a coherently multiplicative, or A_∞ splitting. The proof involves use of the original factorizable cosheaf, namely the Beilinson-Drinfeld Grassmannian.
