Abstract:

In this talk, I will discuss the equivariant functional dual of Morava E-theory D(E). Strickland has proved that D(E) is self dual up to a shift. However, E-theory comes equipped with an action of the Morava stabilizer group G, and Strickland only determines the action of stabilizer group on the homotopy groups of D(E). In this talk, I will explain the Linearization Conjecture, which identifies the representation sphere shifting D(E). I will discuss computational consequences for the duals of homotopy fixed points of finite subgroups.
