Abstract:

The core entropy of polynomials, introduced by W. Thurston, is a dynamical invariant extending topological entropy for real maps to complex polynomials, whence providing a new tool to study the parameter space of polynomials. In the quadratic case, this theory is well studied by using the well-known structure of Mandelbrot set. So I first focus on the quadratic case by showing some known results, the idea of proofs and some pictures. Then I will say some generalizations in higher degree case based on my work with Tiozzo.
