Abstract:

Affine Springer fibers were introduced by Kazhdan and Lusztig and are closely related to several interesting representation theoretical questions. In particular there should be a link between representations of small quantum groups at roots of unity and equivalued affine Springer fibers. To understand this link better I study the cohomology of the components of this affine Springer fiber and following work of Goresky, Kottwitz and MacPherson this should be related to computing fixed points and 1-dimensional orbits of a torus action. I will present the results of fixed points in each component which should help in the above computation.
