Abstract:

Semistable representations were introduced by Fontaine to capture p-adic étale cohomology of varieties with semistable reduction. Structures of these representations play an important role in the Langlands program. In this talk, I will explain some results on how to study semistable representations in families. In particular, I will explain the relative version of a monodromy theorem for curves, based on the joint work in progress with Diao, Du and Moon.
