Abstract:

We define a specific homology theory for Poisson algebras. For this purpose, we follow a general process due to Quillen. We apply the theory of Koszul operads to obtain an explicit complex for this homology theory. (In fact, our complex may be obtained by "composition" of the Chevalley-Eilenberg complex with the Hochschild complex.) As a result, for smooth Poisson algebras, our homology theory coincides with the classical canonical homology. (Dually, in cohomology, we recover the classical Lichnerowicz-Poisson cohomology.)
