Title: Moduli of constant mean curvature surfaces in Euclidean space
Speaker: Professor Rafe Mazzeo
Speaker Info: Stanford University

Abstract:

This talk will survey a number of results from the last several years, by myself and others, about the geometry and deformation theory of complete, almost-embedded constant mean curvature surfaces in ${\mathbb R}^3$. In particular, I will discuss some of the new analytic techniques which have proved important here, including a new approach to `gluing', which is basic to much of this work. This leads naturally to some (still rudimentary) results about the global structure of the moduli spaces of these surfaces.
