International Conference
on
Stochastic Analysis and Partial Differential Equations
June 26-30, 2005
at
Northwestern University

Objectives: The aim of the conference is to bring together a rather diverse group of mathematical scientists with interests in stochastic analysis and partial differential equations and to develop further some of the new connections between these two areas, and other areas in mathematics and related fields in the sciences. Some of the major issues of these fields and the state of the art of the associated topics will be covered. This conference is a part of the scientific activities of the Northwestern Emphasis Year 2004-05 on Stochastic Analysis and Partial Differential Equations.

Scientific Program: The program will consist of 50-minute plenary lectures and 35-minute special session lectures, starting at 8:50am, June 26 (Sunday), and ending before 6:30pm, June 29 (Wednesday), 2005.

Conference Site: June 26 (Sunday), June 28 (Tuesday), and June 29 (Wednesday): The conference will take place in the auditorium (the main lecture room) of the Arthur and Gladys Pancoe Life Sciences building (Pancoe-ENH Life Sicneces Pavilion) at 2200 Campus Drive, just North of Annenberg Hall (School of Eduction), between Allen Center near the small Lake next to Lake Michigan and the Engineering-Science Library behind the Tech-Engineering Building.

Monday (June 27): The conference will take place in the McCormick Auditorium (the main auditorium, first floor) of the Norris University Center at 1999 Campus Drive, between the University Library and Lake Michigan. (Please NOTE: New Change!!!!)

For more details about the location, please see Northwestern Evanston Campus Maps and Hotel Map ("Holiday Inn" in the map is the current location of the Best Western University Plaza Hotel, 1501 Sherman Avenue).

Support We have limited funds to help support the participation of graduate students, postdoctoral faculty, and active senior researchers who don't have grant support. We particularly encourage people who belong to currently underrepresented groups (minorities and women) to apply. We will begin making decisions by the end of April.

We now have a form to apply for support. If you are interested in applying, please print it, fill it out and send it to the address at the bottom of the form.

Registration There will be no registration fee for this conference. However, we now have a registration form. Please click here for a copy. You can return the completd form to us either by fax to Melanie Rubin at 847-491-8906 or by regular mail (The addresses are on the form). Please return the form to us as soon as possible. You can also send us an email note about registration.

Accommodations Here is some preliminary information on accommodations. Please make your individual hotel reservations. In order to receive a special conference rate, please indicate ``Northwestern Stochastic Analysis/PDE Conference'' with Mathematics Department of Northwestern University.
